About Sankri
Sankri is a small mountain village in Mori tehsil of Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand. At roughly 1,950 metres above sea level, it serves as the last motorable roadhead for treks that head into Govind Pashu/ Wildlife Sanctuary. Trekkers use Sankri as base for Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun, Bali Pass approaches and other alpine adventures.
